Stress! Should I Change My Boss or My Wife/Husband?

Do you like the title of this video? Let me explain the reason for it.

If we are overstressed at work than it is quite logical to think about finding a new job. And that means that somehow we change our boss. It is similar at home. If our relationship is so … so … not really good the most common solution is to find a new partner, isn’t it? But do we really get rid of stress this way? Unfortunately, no, because we don’t get rid of the root cause of the problem. And this is the way we react to stressful situations at work or at home, and not the situations themselves.

At the 28th annual conference of the Slovenian Association for Quality and Excellence in November this year I will present a paper with the same title in which I will discuss:

  • the need to find the real origins of stress,
  • how to effectively eliminate them,
  • what kind of results we may expect,
  • what happens if we don’t react in this way,
  • recommended activities in any organization.

The paper will be posted on this website immediately after the conference. If you would like to receive it please just sign in to Get Free Updates (down on this page).

Thanks for watching!

Must Read: How To Get Rid of Stress ... Forever

stres

The book gives a concise explanation of why we too often deal with stress unsuccessfully. It outlines what the origins of stress are and how to eliminate the causes. It describes which signs we should be careful about and the consequences of overlooking them. Several case studies are described, making the book a pleasant read.

Author Peter Kunc about his book:

“When I first told my friends, colleagues and acquaintances that I was writing this book, the reaction was almost always the same: I NEED TO READ THIS BOOK! At the same time, many of them expressed their doubts as to whether it is possible to get rid of stress at all, let alone forever!

From where did I draw my optimism for such a title? That’s simple. I merely transferred the theory of mechanisms from the background and applied it quite consistently in practice, thus enabling me to experience the power of mechanisms myself, in how I felt. This convinced me that changes are really possible, and that we ourselves can make the greatest contribution to change.

As you become familiar with the mechanisms described in the book, you will understand why our attempts to eliminate stress are so often unsuccessful, and how it is possible to win the battle with stress!”

The contents flow over from chapter to chapter, from problem to solution … The book features several Real-Life Stories, including a story about the Olympic stress of Tina Mrak and Veronika Macarol at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

The final chapter is entitled What Can You Do Right Now Yourself? This is followed by a list of interesting literature that I used when drafting this book, which I recommend for further reading.”

The book was originally published in Slovene in 2017 and will be available in English quite soon.

What Readers Have Said about the Book:

I read this book in one go ... and gained an insight into the importance of immediately eliminating beliefs that don’t support me. Thank you!

Hi Peter, I want to tell you that I like your book very much! I actually read it last week, but I wanted to test myself before writing to you to see if I still think the same way after an additional week of consideration, and whether or not I still remember what was written. The answer is, of course, YES😀. There’s an old adage that there are no coincidences – it seems to me that the timing for your book to come into my hands was just right, when I’m most open to this topic. If this isn’t coincidence, then it must be “something” else😀. All I can say to you is – bravo! I am convinced that your workshops will be really good! Thank you! Let’s keep in touch, M

I was attracted by the book +++ Literature List +++

I like the book! It’s very readable and I read it almost in one go, which means it really appealed to me.

Peter, I read your book and I was impressed by it for the following reasons:

  • the topics are presented in a clear and concise manner that is just right;
  • the strongest feature of the book is that it is underpinned by stories;
  • for those of us who are not big sports fans and who don’t know much about sports activities, it would be even better to include more real-life stories from other areas, while sports stories could be in a separate chapter (I believe that people don’t read what they don’t know well, or they will merely skim that text).

The book is great and needs to be promoted. Peter, keep on writing. You’re doing well!

As promised, I am getting back to you with our employees’ impressions after reading your book. All three books that are in our internal library circulate amongst our 150 employees all the time. I asked some of them what they can tell me about this book and whether they found it useful in their everyday life. They said that they identified with the book and, even more interestingly, they “recognised” their colleagues or relatives in the individual cases and stories you describe. Some said that now they perhaps look at everyday situations in a different way.

Great book. The mind is everything!

I devoured the book! 🙂 I also recognised myself in it, of course. And my son, too.

The status of your book is already “read”. My soul vibrated in the chapter on the enlarged and reduced level of consciousness. Beautiful. Thank you.

It is unbelievable how such a thin book can open so many things and offer so much.

The English edition of the book will be available quite soon 🙂 on >>>

Clients' Success Stories

Tina Mrak and Veronika Macarol, Sailing Team in the 470 Class; Olympic Games Rio de Janeiro 2016 – 6th Place: “We didn’t used to do so well at competitions in the initial regattas, but we improved our sailing and ranking in the subsequent regattas. This time, however, we felt much better on our sailing boat than in previous competitions. We trusted our abilities more and we believed we could get a medal. We were more determined even at the start of the first regatta; we were more harmonised and we sailed well from the very first day. In the past, there were too many ups and downs in our sailing, but this time it was much more stable and we were regularly ranked at the top. One of the contributing factors was improved communication between us, and we found it easier to concentrate on any given day. This was very important, as the entire competition lasted eight days. We were disappointed about our two disqualifications, even though they showed where there is more room for improvement. If it hadn’t been for that, we could have won a medal. Nevertheless, we pulled ourselves together quite quickly and sailed the last regatta (the regatta for the medals) in a relaxed enough and determined manner, and we won.”

J. K., Director and Co-Owner of an IT Company: “Right after meeting Peter for the first time, I already felt extraordinarily relaxed. The next morning, for the first time in six months, I didn’t need to take a headache tablet, nor did I need a sleeping pill in the evening. The following weekend, I took some time out for myself for the first time in ages and went to the mountains … You need to experience this for yourself to even believe that something like it is possible – and so simple, too … I will keep working with Peter. I already have some new tasks for him!”

A. B. (Ms), Director: “The owner of the company where I work first imposed one solution to a certain problem on me, then changed his mind and wanted to implement another. The costs – and consequentially the operating results – depended on the solution. The situation was very unpleasant; I was afraid and felt extremely helpless. I had experienced this feeling of helplessness occasionally at my previous jobs, as well. It turned out that this feeling originated in my childhood, when I had no power to stop my father’s drinking. Soon after this trauma was eliminated, I felt that the weight in my chest (the feeling of helplessness) was gone. I felt light. I’ve become stronger and more determined, and people have noticed that. Three months on, I can see that things are working well and that they’re slowly taking the right course. Thank you for setting me free from a number of my fears.”

V. B., Director and Owner of a Tourist Agency: “In our first year of operation, we exceeded our revenue plan by 30 percent, and the following year we exceeded the realisation of the first year by a further 70 percent. Revenue growth is continuing this year, as well. But that doesn’t mean we don’t have any competition. There are at least fifteen other tourist agencies around us. The fact is that we invest a lot of energy in our work. However, I do feel that there is a certain lightness to how the work flows now, as if the obstacles that I felt were in our way before are no longer there.”

More Clients' Success Stories

  • The impossible boss

I was constantly being mobbed by my boss, so I had a lot of negative things to say about her when I got home from work, such as that she was a hypocrite, aggressive, not understanding, malicious, repressive, that she was stopping me from getting promoted and so on. After this had gone on for a while and everyone knew about how badly she was treating me, I realized that I actually thought that I was really like that, which was why she annoyed me so much. Then, I started to clean out my thought patterns with ThetaHealing, but at first it didn't look like anything was changing. I finally decided to end it and find myself another job. Then, suddenly the director called me and offered me a job in a different department. I felt like I had just won the lottery. I took the offer and now the conditions for work are much better. The relations with my new boss are good, I am much more independent in my job and I'm really enjoying it. It's the kind of job I had always wanted.  But, because I probably didn't define the scope of my work precisely enough, the job is too stressful for me and I would like to have a higher salary, so now I have these two challenges before me.

  • I dare to charge more

You know how it is, there is a crisis, competition is fierce- especially in my field. I compared prices of our services with others' and I realized that our prices were lower. I wanted to increase the prices, but I didn't dare to do it because I was worried that I would lose my family. This was last December. Soon after eliminating negative beliefs I managed to win a few new customers and I wasn't afraid of offering our services at a higher price and none of the customers were resented the increase. My next step is to increase prices for all my customers. If I increase prices by just $10 a month, the result will be an increase of $ 4,000-5,000 a year, which will be great for me. Now, that I've been thinking about this change, I cannot believe that so little was necessary to achieve such a result.

  • The effect others have on my life

Certain people, who are indirectly connected to my life, organized and planned my life without my knowledge. My mother-in-law came to visit unannounced whenever she felt like, bringing lunch (for two instead of four) and if we didn't welcome her enthusiastically and show gratitude, she was offended. My husband's ex-wife tried to arrange care for her children from her second marriage through my husband’s children. This means that my husband's sons often brang along their two younger brothers unannounced, which meant we then had to stay in. At work my bosses agreed on activities and meetings without my knowledge, which often meant that I had to cancel and reschedule appointments. I wasn't aware that I was actually convinced that it wasn't safe to stand up for oneself and say no! After the change I can now actually stand up for myself. I say and clarify problems as soon as they appear and I feel a lot more heard and confident. I told my mother-in-law what bothered me. Now she comes over less often and we occasionally go to her place to have lunch and there is peace in my house. My husband talked to his sons about his mother's manipulation. Now they come to our place by themselves and we have a nice family life. I also talked to my bosses and told them what my expectations were. It is also good that I don't take the complications that sometimes still arise personally, and that I try to solve them without feeling pressured.

  • “I’m not good enough for my partner …

I felt that my partner was trying to “correct” me, that I wasn’t good enough the way I was. This hurt me deeply; it threw me off the track. I had mixed feelings: anger, sadness, hurt and non-acceptance of myself. We found the cause in my parents’ attitude towards me. My father wanted to have a son, and I only received conditional love from my mother. When we delved even deeper into the matter, I started to feel that, during my mother’s pregnancy, my father had been emotionally absent and my mother had felt helpless and anxious about whether she would be capable of being a good mother to another child. By eliminating this “genetic information” and replacing it with unconditional love, I now enjoy more peace of mind; I’m more self-confident and, what is more, I feel that I’m wonderful just the way I am.

  • Therapeutic effect – lower heart rate

My clients usually describe the effects of the therapy as “relief”, “relaxation”, “tingling”, “lightness”, “the weight on my chest is gone”, and so on. I was pleasantly surprised by one man in his prime (60+) 😉 when he told me that after our therapy his heart rate had dropped significantly – by 10 percent! He measures his heart rate every morning and on the morning after the therapy he noticed it was lower. Surprising, yet logical if you eliminate the cause of stress.

  • “I don’t dare send a worker home.”

With a head of production, we tackled the following problem: the workers on the production line were not using personal protective equipment consistently. The head of production occasionally warned them, but without much success. He should have taken stricter (disciplinary) measures, e.g., removing the worker from the workplace and sending him home, but he did not. Why? First, we focused on the question of production downtime and the non-achievement of plans, which would be the result of sending workers home. We then turned to his lack of familiarity with the company’s internal regulations, or the incompleteness of these regulations. We agreed that the entire procedure for acting should be reviewed together with the head of human resources, a safety engineer and a lawyer, and that once the procedure was confirmed he would start implementing it. On first sight, it seemed that the matter had been thus resolved. Then he mentioned that there had recently been an accident at work. Fortunately, it had not resulted in serious injuries, but it might have been caused by deficient maintenance of machinery, as the deadline for regular servicing had already passed. In this instance, too, the consequence would have been production downtime and the non-achievement of plans. The common denominator presented itself, “I don’t know how to say NO”. He should have said NO to both the worker (to prohibit him from working without PPE) and his superiors (to stop working with inappropriate protective equipment and unmaintained machinery). Then the story started to unfold. In the next step, we came to his lack of self-confidence, and then to the feeling of a lack of support that had accompanied him from his childhood, as his father had died when he was less than two years old and his mother then married a man with a drinking problem … and all of this dragged on for more than 20 years … and the trauma continued to follow him. After the trauma was eliminated and the feelings of self-confidence, support and so on were downloaded, he felt very much relieved. His further actions were as expected: he took appropriate measures (including disciplinary measures) at work.

  • “Where is my sudden anger coming from?”

With Bojan, 43, we tackled an incredibly strong feeling of anger that surfaced after his superior (director) failed to respect their agreement regarding bonuses. Until then, such feelings were virtually unknown to him. The feelings continued for more than a week and still did not subside, which was a major burden for Bojan and affected him negatively. What did we discover? Business agreements and arrangements represented a burden, tasks he needed to fulfil. If he did not fulfil them, it would affect his income, and as a result he would not be able to pay his bills and would fall into debt. In order to recover his debts, the authorities would seize his apartment and he would be left without having created anything in his life. He would not be able to support his three children adequately and would feel incompetent. First, he remembered that he had already experienced a feeling of incompetence during his studies, when he was working and studying days on end. In the end, we came to his childhood, when he was powerless to stop his parents’ drinking. How did he feel after this trauma was eliminated? Relaxed, relieved. And, yes, of course, the anger disappeared. From that time on, he resolved problems in a different way and the sense of burden ceased.

Meet Peter

Peter Kunc is the author of the bestselling book “How to Get Rid of Stress … Forever”. He has also designed two powerful programmes:

  • Stress-Free Life Lab” is focused on helping professionals to find the real causes of stress, and on getting rid of them forever; and
  • Turn Your Crisis into Success”, which is a special breakthrough programme designed to help business owners to easily turn their crisis into success by finding out what their real advantages are and by overcoming hidden obstacles on their business path.

These programmes are a result of Peter’s more than thirty years of experience in management. Amongst other things, he has created a business worth more than six million euros … and he was also overwhelmed with stress. After several health issues, he decided to leave the “safe” corporate environment and start a new career. As an entrepreneur, he was able “to do what he loves and to love what he does” – to help managers to improve their businesses.

As a side effect of solving problems in partnership, he managed to find an extremely effective way of removing the real causes of stress forever, and of doubling or even tripling your revenue in just a couple of years.

Peter’s mission is simple but powerful. Help as many people as possible to overcome negative and limiting beliefs and to enjoy a stress-free life.
